We searched the whole city. The flowers we loved just weren't there.
We're Louis and Olivier, the two Frenchmen behind Ode à la Rose and Forever Roses. We came to New York chasing careers in banking, trading Paris for the skyline and the hustle. And honestly? The city delivered. Except in one department. Back home, flowers are part of daily life. You bring them when you visit, you gift them without a special occasion, you choose each stem with intention. The number of roses, the variety, the wrapping - it all means something. New York had everything, but it didn't have that. Not quite.
So in 2012, we made a choice. We walked away from the finance world and built something we actually missed: a flower atelier rooted in French tradition, where beauty isn't reserved for big occasions. Ode à la Rose was born from that gap. Forever Roses grew from the same place.
Our team puts real care into every single order. Each bouquet gets tied by hand, wrapped with attention, and sent out into the world carrying a little piece of that original vision. Because we still believe flowers are one of the best ways humans have ever found to say the things that matter.
Our Journey
- 2012 – Ode à la Rose opens its doors in New York City, starting with local delivery before expanding across the Northeast.
- 2018 – Chicago becomes our second home, bringing same-day delivery to the city and next-day options to nearby states.
- 2019 – We partnered with Bastille Flowers & Events, adding fresh talent and expertise to our growing team.
- 2020 – We introduced preserved roses and rolled out nationwide delivery, so anyone, anywhere in the U.S. could receive our flowers.
- 2021 – Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. joined the family, letting us reach even more people on their meaningful days.
- 2022 – We kept growing: Austin in June, Miami in August.
- 2025 – Forever Roses by Ode a la Rose was born, with a goal to dedicate a special place for our preserved roses.
